I am sharing this mask know how from a lady Melinda ( See picture below) of Green Cottage Kitchen ( you can find it online).
Now that winter has come to Bluebell and has decided to park here for the next two months( oh man!!), I can feel the dryness on my face, torso, butt, feet ... I get terribly itchy all over if I don't apply moisturizer for even less than a day! The skin on my knuckles hv broken and sometimes they bleed. I try to keep them moisturized to get relief from the bleeding but you tend to get your hands more wet than the rest of your body. When they get wet, the moisturizer washes away.
Plus, it doesn't help that I am a germaphobe. Some one who is totally aversive to germs. I wash my hands very often sometimes more than necessary. Send a text? Wash hands. Touch a door knob ? Wash hands. I try to be extra careful because my family's health is dependent on my cleanliness. I screw up even a little - they suffer first.
Ok ok I can see I am deviating here :))
Recipe for Winter Face Mask ( for 2 masks)
1 medium banana mashed
1/4 cup organic plain youghurt
1 tsp honey( raw is best but you can use whatever you hv)
Mix all the above in a bowl and apply on to your face, neck and chest.
Reapply a second coat and then let it sit on you for 20-30 mins. Rinse and pat dry.
This mask can be refrigerated for 2-3 days. Because it is so natural, you can use it as often as you want.
Besides moisturizing the skin, the acids in the youghurt and banana can help to reduce age related/ acne spots.
