Spring has finally arrived in Blue bell, Pennsylvania.
It was a long wait through the bitter, slippery frozen winter. It started getting cold in October last year and till end March, we were all at its mercy. We were pretty much prisoned at home! It was so unsafe to walk because of the fear of slipping and hurting our back. Not to mention the fear of frostbite on my ears and nose! Sometimes, it will be so damn cold, the skin on my face hurt!! And the dry flaky skin on our entire body which itches maddeningly if you miss even one day of moisturizing... Oh man, I really loathe cold weather.
But all is forgiven because woohoo! Spring is here and the sun is out with a vengeance as if its trying to make up for lost time. We can all step out for our walks and runs and my girls can now visit the nearby playground to have a go at the swings.
But what I didn't expect to see was the beautiful cheery blossom trees in our country club. There is one tree right outside our front door and because we just moved into our present house last Sep and we didn't go thru last spring here, I had no idea it is a cherry blossom tree! It has just started to bloom and there are small white blossoms and buds on the entire tree. What a gorgeous sight.
I wake up every morning at the crack of dawn even when I don't have to wake up that early (on weekends) and enjoy the silence and calmness of the early morning while sipping a cup of hot tea while watching the sun rise behind the beautiful cherry blossom trees... simpler pleasures of life.
My home is
usually in a mess and has dust settled on almost everything. But I believe laughter and love will win the day. In 20 years, my girls won't remember how messy the house was but will remember the time we spent together and the love they felt...
