Tucked away amongst the many restaurants in Marine Cove, Singapore, East Coast Commune is definitely worth a visit. With my two daughters Ranya and Riya and my mom and sister June, we made an early reservation and were pleasantly surprised to see that it was already crowded at 9am! And the restaurant was accessible by a wheelchair which will be quite convenient for those with strollers or wheelchairs. We ordered Veggie Brekkie and Sourdough Pancakes Petite (found on the kids menu!) which were served quite quickly even with the crowd. Veggie Brekkie was served Vegan per Riya's request - without the eggs and butter. The grilled mushrooms were quite her fancy washed down with iced chocolate with oat milk June had Avocado Toast on Sourdough bread with Beetroot Hummus and Feta Cheese. The sourdough bread was a little tough to tear and the Beetroot hummus was too sour. Perhaps the lemon juice could be added sparingly and served a little extra on the side? Such a pretty purplish hue, though, the Beetroot Hummus. To wash it all down, we also had lemon ginger mint tea in teapots which were sufficient for two with free flow of hot water. There is plenty of seats available and there is even outdoor seating as well. Parents can keep an eye on their children at the nearby playground. Check this restaurant out if you are interested at :
