We are right smack in the middle of a flu season. Taking a flu shot is a good bet but there are other pro active ways to avoid the flu or the cold.
1) Practice Good Hygiene
You have heard about washing your hands with antibacterial soap and water but what about the taps or the faucets? They are teeming with germs because that is the first thing you touch when you turn the tap/faucet on. Turn it off with a disposable towel instead.
Use a sanitizer throughout the day.
Cover your cough/sneeze or do it within your elbow ( See picture below)
Wash your hands whenever you touch your mouth, eyes or nose to prevent continued spread of the germs
Also remember to disinfect cell phones, door knobs, keypads, switches and other surfaces that constantly get touched
