Rosemary is an aromatic herb, part of the mint family ( I didn't know that!) and grows in an evergreen bush.
Fresh or dried rosemary has a great woody scent and is generally used in cooking. I use it in my vegetable stock and to give that lovely aroma for my roasted potatoes with whole garlic cloves.
Rosemary oil can be used externally to soothe skin conditions like excema or to relieve joint problems like arthritis.
What I found interesting is that, according to research, catching a whiff of this aromatic herb can actually improve levels of concentration, alertness and memory. Sniff the Rosemary leaves or inhale the scent of its essential oil before a test or a meeting. It is known to improve memory by up to 75%!!!
